I would say this lasts for about 4/5 hours on me, which for this price point is a little bit disappointing. This smells very fresh and projects great on my skin & also lasts a long time. 100% Pure & Natural. The original Bal d'Afrique is a masterpiece IMHO. This is the first perfume EVER (in the 40 years of my life and the probably 25 years I'm using perfumes), which I bought on the same day of smelling it for the first time... the first time ever that a recommendation of a shop assistant was spot on.... and the first time, a perfume became my signature scent straight away. I've no idea what my skin was reacting to, or what created that sour milk smell-I got a sample from a reputable source so I think it must just be my skin chemistry that it doesn't like. I wore this to great extent, to the point of getting sick of it. I don't know what it was, but the way Bal D'Afrique settles in on me smells like that powder. I highly recommend this one! I like a delicate scent but I like it to be persistent. Some might think it's a little feminine but I've had several women complement me on it and I have a huge beard so men shouldn't shy away from it. However, I've inexplicably fallen head over heels in love with this fragrance. I spritz both on my skin and on me, there are REALLY similar. I am not a fan of the current popular fragrance houses such as Byredo, Frederic Malle, Diptique, et al. Beautiful sweet vetiver fragrance that leans more on the feminine side definitely. There is scuba diving and snorkeling in the relatively untouched waters teaming with coral, sponge and other tropical sea life. This really is a lovely fragrance, I was excited to find it at first. this starts off gourmand and floral, not exactly what i expected. This is the hipster version of D&G Light Blue. Dominicans do not like their pictures being taken, so you are expected to take their permission. It's almost like an abstract tropical fruit. It is however a well made citrusy floral. I first tried the EDP spray and ended up not wearing it much because the dry-down was too sweet. Also the projection is terrible and the silage is worse. But it quickly turns cloying and sweet. It really bothers me how it weakens drastically within 3 hours. Loud and clumsy, and much too pleased with itself. From beachfront property to rainforest locales, Dominica offers the widest range in Caribbean real estate, such as coastal properties with panoramic views of the sea and mountains or prime residential developments in valleys like Copthall. When I say pineapple I mean when it's ripe and juicy but still fresh and just a bit tart. I like a little less effervescence and sweetness, and more of a smokey intrigue. A skinscent already? The main point of this scent is at the end. It's a light unisex everyday every season perfume that I can't imagine traveling without. Take yourself to a sunny terrace in south west Italy overlooking the Mediterranean with this play on bright citrus Calabrian bergamot, warmed by red ginger and with notes of skin-like musk and grassy vetiver (a fragrant grass). Never smelled tagetes, but they’re lovely here! This is like the warm weather version of Nuit add Megeve, and Nuit being the cooler weather version of this. There is a scent that has a similarity to this, but not the same type of scent, it’s called Nuit De Megeve by Eight & Bob. This is a really unusual blend of notes for me. A light floral smell with a little woody vetiver. This lasts forever it is one of the longest lasting fragrances I have ever tried to the point of almost lasting too long! Vetiver is a note which just does not work on me, I call it Bog Body as it turns very gaseous on me. It has quite a large following on both fragrance forums and on YouTube. Lovely. For me, Fat Electrician is the superior fragrance out of all of these because it seemingly takes the same DNA that is found in Guerlain Vetiver and adds warmer and tastier notes on top of it. My favourite perfumes go in this order: Tiempe Passate, Stella Peony in Two and Bal D'Afrique, out of so many lovely perfumes I own. The note pyramid confuses me, as does the name of this scent. It's a truly stunning, perfectly blended special scent - slightly creamy and powdery, the most subtle use of violets and a dance of African marigolds, wrapped in a faintly woody, elegant cedar base.
